Tree Care
As members of the British Christmas Tree Growers Association, we provide high-quality, British grown Christmas Trees. Our aim is to supply you with a tree that will become the centrepiece of your Christmas celebrations.
Caring for your tree:
Our trees are grown in accordance with the BCTGA environmental code of practice and are guaranteed to be freshly cut. Provided the correct care is taken to look after your tree, it should survive over 4 weeks. Trees should not be purchased earlier than 1st December if you are looking for guaranteed tree satisfaction over the Christmas period.
After you have chosen and purchased your Christmas tree it should be kept outside in a cool shaded place, preferably standing in a bucket of water, until you are ready to move it indoors.
Before bringing the tree indoors it is recommended to cut about half an inch off the butt (bottom of the stump) in order to open up the pores of the tree.
Once your tree is inside, mount it in a water-holding stand (we recommend the Cinco range), and make sure it is placed away from direct heat.
Keep the stand topped up with water every day.
