How is my Christmas tree selected?

One of our team will hand pick your tree from our large selection of unnetted trees that are on display at our retail site. This ensures you receive a tree that has been individually visually selected, not taken from a netted stock pile.

How do you measure your Christmas trees?

Our trees are measured from the bottom of the tree trunk to halfway up the leader (the part you put your fairy/star on!). 

Can I specify the width of the tree I would like?

If you would like a particularly slimmer or wider tree please specify this....

Do you have a retail site where we can view your trees?

Yes, we have a large retail site in Hertfordshire where all of our trees are on display. We are open from 24th November 2023 until Christmas Eve. Our opening times are 9am-7:30pm during the week and 9am-5pm at weekends. Our address is Dane End Christmas Tree Farm, Green End Lane, Dane End, Ware, Hertfordshire, SG12 0FF. 

Will my tree come with a stand?

No the tree will not come with a stand but we also sell tree stands and these can be found on the products page. If you purchase a stand somewhere else we would highly recommend that the stand has the ability to hold water as this is vital in maintaining the health of the tree.

Can you still deliver my tree if I come and choose it at your retail site?

Yes, absolutely. When you have chosen your perfect tree please speak to a member of our team on the tills and they will arrange delivery for you. Delivery charges will be calculated based on your postcode. 

Will my Christmas tree shed its needles?

Our trees are Nordmann fir trees which are renowned for their needle retention if cared for and watered properly. Please look at our tree care page for more information. 

How do I care for my Christmas tree?

I am looking for a tree bigger than 7ft, is this possible?

Yes, absolutely. We have listed a limited selection of trees on our website which cover the majority of trees that we sell, however we have stock of trees up to 16ft. I live outside your delivery area, can I still place an order?

We have a specific area we deliver to, however if you would like to place an order please do get in touch and we will see what we can do.

Can I specify a delivery date for my tree?

Yes, you can chose your delivery date on the checkout page. 

Do I get a time slot on the day of delivery?

No, we cannot provide a time slot for delivery. We try to optimise our delivery routes to be as efficient and carbon neutral as possible. Please ensure you provide clear instructions for our delivery team on where to leave your tree if you are not in. 

Can I reschedule my delivery date after placing my order?

If you would like to change your delivery date please get in touch via email daneendchristmastreeshop@gmail.com and we will do our best to accommodate your change. 

Can I see my tree unnetted before the driver leaves?

Unfortunately this is not possible. Our drivers will be running on a tight schedule to ensure everyone gets their tree on time, so they will only be able to drop your tree off netted. 

Can the delivery driver bring my tree inside and put it up?

Unfortunately we only offer doorstep delivery due to our health and safety insurance policy. 

Can I chop branches off my tree to get it to fit?

It is perfectly ok to trim branches to make your tree fit your space. 

What size tree stand do I need for my tree?

We only have one brand and size of stand available to purchase through our website. The Cinco stand will be suitable for trees up to 8ft and is renowned for its water holding capacity and stability. 

My tree looks unhealthy and droopy, what can I do?

If there is a genuine problem with your tree then we will endeavour to replace it as soon as possible at no cost to you. Please give us a call and thoroughly describe the problems you are experiencing with the tree.

Can I cancel my order?

If you would like to cancel your order, please email us daneendchristmastreeshop@gmail.com within 24 hours of placing your order and we will be able to assist you with your cancellation. 

Will I get a full refund if I cancel my order?

If you have emailed us within 24 hours of placing your order we will be able to offer you a refund in full. Cancellations beyond this period will be handled on a individual basis and we cannot guarantee a full refund will be available. You MUST notify us as soon as possible if you want to cancel an order, we won't be able to refund you if the tree has already been dispatched.
